Gasogi Power Substation, 110Kv transmission Line & 15Kv Distribution Lines

The power substation was constructed with the funding of the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). It is expected to supply electricity to different parts including Ndera, Kigali Special Economic Zone, Gasogi, Kabuga, Kanombe, and Murindi. The substation has the capacity of producing 30 Megawatts per day and is expected to reduce power outages in Kigali. It is an addition to an existing substation producing 10 Megawatts built in the area.
